Amateurs. Serious about it.
We're a crew of friends who race the IMX 40 Seika out of the Rías Baixas. Weekend regattas, the occasional big trophy, and training whenever the wind shows up.
Who we are
Nobody on this boat does it for a living. We have day jobs, families and the usual excuses. What we share is the same itch: to sail a proper race boat properly, against people who feel the same way.
We race mostly in Galicia, north-west Spain, where the Atlantic meets the rías and the wind can go from nothing to everything before lunch. Home waters are the Ría de Arousa and the Ría de Pontevedra, with trips down to Baiona for the bigger regattas.
The boat
Seika is an IMX 40, a 40-foot one-design racer from X-Yachts. She's quick, she's demanding and she rewards a crew that works together. A full racing crew is around nine people, which is why we're always looking for more.

We're open for new members
You don't need experience. You need to turn up, listen, pull when told, and be ready to get wet. Everything else we can teach.
Being in the crew means training days, race weekends, a share of the boat work and a place at the bar afterwards. It's a real commitment, but it's the good kind.
What we're looking for
- People who can commit to a few weekends a month in season
- Beginners with attitude, or experienced sailors who want to race
- Anyone who wants to learn bow, trim, pit or helm
- Hands for boat maintenance, media, logistics
